Juan Sebastián Vélez Triana
Anthropologist (PUJ, Colombia) with an MSc in Rural Development (PUJ, Colombia) and a PhD in Development Studies (Institute of Development Policy-IOB, University of Antwerp). He is a Postdoctoral Researcher of the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique – FNRS / UCLouvain & Research Associate of the Centre for Alternatives to Development – CEALDES. He works on transformative and collaborative research with rural communities, exploring struggles for autonomy and social-ecological justice within conservation-related conflicts from a political ecological perspective, with a particular focus on the Colombian Andes and Amazon regions.
